Application/Shortcut icons dissapear after Object Desktop Ultimate installation

Hello,

After installing (default settings) the latest downloadable suite, my application icons have vanished and all I see are default "doccument page" icons. My desktop icon for Impulse itself suffers from this along with most shortcuts. I'm new to all of this so please bear with me. I presume some customization aspect is at work but I have no clue which it is.

I had to download/reinstall Impulse to get it to connect/update. It seems to be working now, FYI.

I'm running on Vista x64 with plenty of RAM and drive space.

Update:

Whatever it was, Icon Packager (the presumed culprit) was able to fix it by rebuilding the icon cache etc. One of those buttons down at the bottom did it anyway.

After reading over the other forums/posts, I see I'm not alone with my icon troubles. I hope that if I ever uninstall these programs that I won't be left with a trashed desktop, not that I ever plan to unless there's an incompatability issue.
