I got a question that's just pure MV related. Any tech rate beyond Normal seems to rest back to Normal next time I go to the game setup screen. Is this normal (no pun intended)?

Yes, that's always been very annoying. Every other setting stays set, but not that one.

Usually the site is fine with FF3 or IE. The host could be just having a temporary issue. That happens every now and then. Neilo has already secured TyrannyofEvil.com and the new site will be up soon, so we only have to depend on freeforums for a short while longer.

Yes, it's quite annoying. Fortunately it stays put for using Ctrl-N (just checked that again), and interestingly it's not a problem for non-MV games.

All, my computer was annihiliated by a virus this week. I don't know what, if anything, will be recoverable - right in the middle of a promising game, to add insult to injury. I've had to send it off for repairs and don't know when it will be back; may have to sit this round out. Sorry, fellow Crusaders! If I get it back in time to finish that game or start a new one, I will let you know immediately!

Well i heard from Nocti- he's a bit busy but he hopes to get a game in. I know that e-stab is working on a game, and IIRC posted over at the Core forums. TGE usually appears about midway through a round. haven't heard anything from Davabled, so I don't know anything there. And finally, Defcon just posted his issues, but hopefully that can be resolved soon.

actually KP, Jeff is right....Mumble, Jeff, and Fire (then under a different name), were all "founding" members of the Crusaders and stayed that way until the end of Round 3, which was then followed by the very first MVL Draft. I was also on the Crusaders for one round, Round 3.

Quick question, my memory's getting a bit rusty due to work claiming so much of it: were we or were we not allowed to pick the opposing AI's? In other words, do they have to be random races or not?
In the previous round I always played with random races, I'm wondering whether I'm leaving some potential improvement there...

Hey Noctilucus,

From the MVL Rulebook thread: "In-game modification of opponent characteristics is prohibited in MVL games. The only choices allowed are the selection of opponents from among the default standard races and default custom race and the selection of their difficulty levels.

All opponent starting relations must be set to "Unknown"."
