Just to leave a note: I'm still a little mad at myself for forgetting to submit my round 10 contribution in time (I just did it now, just for the sake of it), but I'd take part in another round in a rather large variety of settings. I'd prefer not to have a setup with 100+ planets though.

Pol2008 is pretty cool- i created my own candidate and am currently leading 56%, 38%, with 6% undecided.  Even if all the Independents swing over to my opponent, I'm pretty sure I have this in the bag- I mean, I have Ohio

Seeing all these screenshots is making me want to get the game!  I'm a political junkie already so it seems right up my alley.

yeah, its a lot of fun...almost lost this last cycle using Ms. Howe here (with Obama as her VP choice); the Strauss (my own Republican creation, an Ultra Religious Right figure)-Bush team kept getting "Hollywood Friend" support, it was killing me.  I ended up winning in the Electoral College but lost the popular vote by 1%, and that's without winning Ohio, Florida, or Texas.  I actually a good portion of the NE too...it was looking pretty sketchy til i managed to win in NM and AZ.

Also, i messed up my first three tv appearances which killed me with Independents.

METAVERSE LEAGUE STUFF FOLLOWS, SO MAYBE YOU SHOULD READ IT

Well....due to an extremely lackluster turnout for the VC elections, I am hereby ending the voting cycle and naming BOTH JustinSane4 and Dystopic as Co-Commissioners.

In like terms, I am stepping down as Commissioner of the MVL at this time.   I have stayed on as long as I can since my earlier request to resign was denied but the combined forces of school, work, and to be honest just not having the desire to play GC as much (not that I don't still play quite a bit) has begun to take its toll.

As always, and as before, I wish nothing but the best of luck to the League, and i'm sure i'll come back to play but its something I can't devote to at the current time.

Speaking of Spore, i been playing it most of the night, and it was a fun little game right up to the Tribes level. Then it got boring. The game lost direction and focus and did it's best to bore me to hell and it worked, i quit it without saving. I'll play again tomorrow but i don't think it's all it's cracked up to be.

I also heard the galactic level is very overpowered currently and they shipped w/ cutting underwater cities...etc.

My 5200 card has the ram and pixil shader 2.0 req they mention...but it wasn't tested since it's so old, thus they can't/won't give me a friggin answer.  They won't get my money until I find out prior that my PC will run the game.

I guess I'm too use to the CS team here at Stardock that bend over backwards for their customers...  EA's DRM doesn't scare me off, it's their lack of a good CS.
