i agree with MB it more like frozen glass, but anyway its super!!! first without shadows, or with shadows but with 20-25% transparency...

  Hey guys, I have a few words to say about this theme.  I talked to haptork about doing a DX theme for this suite. He asked me to do it because he is going to be busy in school. Saarge then PM's me saying that I am not a part of this group, and as such, I can't do the theme. Then, I assume he had a talk to the others here, I don't know. Because he then PM'd me again practically begging me to please do this theme. Now he is nitpicking the theme:  "

i like the sounds ... fantastic ....

but  i was thinking that u'll make a full dx theme .......

like other guy make ..... like gef ... haptork .....   i mean full dx themes ....

dont worry about time ......  we can wait for u ...........

if u need any help ... u can ask to haptork or someother .....

and about widgets .....

the widgets are good ...........   but can we change the grafix ??    i mean ..... rather than using those grafix ...... using something more attractive ............    maybe .... we  can ask to paul to make broken grafix .......  which matches with wb skin ...........    i'll poke paul ... to send u wb beta version .............     coz i think  itz not really matching .." 

Now, I have no problem with suggestions. I have not tried to tell anyone in this group how to make thier respective parts. I expect the same courtesy. I do not understand what Saarge thinks a full DX theme is, but I have supplied just that. Now I am not trying to be an ass here, but in my opinion, the DX theme is great the way it is. I do not intend to change it. You can allow it AS IS  or not at all. I am sure there is another DX maker in line to do this.

I don't recall setting any standards or putting anyone in charge when giving the idea to the community.The idea was for each artist to contribute their own unique style and talent into the project.It wasn't meant to be a copy of one persons work or style.

If there is some part someone does not like,they don't have to  use it,Simple as that.Is it just me or is suddenly everyone a critic here?l

For what it's worth . . this is not a community project.  My understandign that it was a group of skinners (called SkinDex) open by invitation only and subject to internal rules and such. Those may need to be clarified. 

By community in this case I meant anyone who wished to use it,group,individual,free,paid,whatever.But it was given unconditionally for all to enjoy.I'm sorry, I'll keep my ideas to myself from now on. I foresee the same issues occurring with the WC team concept. I hope it works out better than this.

I jsut don't it to be a repeat of my primary school days and fights breaking out because someone HAS to take on thier team because he's the last one picked.

Wizard1956 I hate to be replying or quoting you on this but I think everything is working out just fine for SkinDex also....I am very happy to be a part of such fab designers.

It is my understanding that everybody in this team is a part of it because they want to work together......also since its a team thing it makes more sense that everybody puts in their best and then if everyone likes you go ahead. I just want to tell you i am just ok in what i try to do and when i started making walls for the skindex team i just wanted to give it my best ..and also wanted everyone to like the walls..now i changed my walls not coz i didnt like them but coz i felt the team and the suite would gain from it...again just peace and we are a team so lets resolve whatever are the small or big issues in the team or via PMs.or whatever..

 

While I think this is true, being part of a team means that sometimes you should adjust what you are doing based on feedback from the other team members.  I know that in the community projects I've been involved in each member could start a discusion about somethign that wasn't working for them.  The open dialog often resulted in no changes at all but sparked something that could be changed or created elswhere.

Just one thing and I will shut up....It is true that when part of a team, we should work together...I have been told I am not part of this team, just a temporary stand in. I am a bit busy and worked hard on the theme. I am sorry if I came off as egocentric or anything. I posted asking for a broken orb, no one helped me there. I do like it as is. I will however take suggestions and consider making changes. I make no promises.

Anyone wishing to take over from this point may do so, if need be. Permission granted. 

Honestly, some opinions from your team mates to make a team's theme better doesn't hurt anyone. For the team's best, everyone should be more open minded to new ideas or else everyone would stick to their own style and the theme will not match at all.

In my opinion, a team's theme is great because everything has the same style, and then everyone just adds their own artistic talent to it but within the limits.

Agreed. But opinions are not necessarily always correct. I like to like a theme I make when it is done. I don't feel like it turned out well, unless I like it. I do like it and don't really want to change it. Somehow, to me, changing it feels like I am not being true to myself. Silly stuff, I guess. I did use the graphics given to me by Paul, from the WB, so it should match. Everything used came from the WB other than the clock, and the orb.  Anyway, for the sake of the team, of which I am not a part, I will take suggestions, and consider changes. I am sorry for the fuss, and agree I should have dealt directly with saarge via PM. My apologies.

MrPaul, please send me the WB, or the taskbar, start bitton, etc.

critical comment it is a very good thing for every artists....

im working as a grafik designer in advertising for a long time, and saw many clients who gave me so stupid comments (for me)... but anyway i made corrections in correspondence to this comments. cause everyone have his own notion about what is beauty and what is not. i have my own to. but when i make design not only for me i can't allow myself make only how i like it. cause i make it for people, and i must take into account their tastes. of cause as artist i can filter peoples desires... but anyway i cant work only on my notion...

theme almost complited PDJ, everyday day i make added new parts.

i send to you psd of new buttons, and in photoshop you can change my work on your desire. files is layered and vector. it means that on it base you can easy make your own design absolutly different from my work.

 

 

Huh? I don't get this part! How can someone be a temporary standin for a team? I would think he's either in or out. If someone is putting their time and effort into making something that will be included in some teams project he's part of the team. So how does that work? Some temp guy starts creating something and then hands his time and work over when someone permanent comes along?
