Kryo, am i to sit here and watch my empire and it's members be tainted like this for no wrong doing with no action from you. Look at the abuse i have taken and i have held back.

It seems i am now in the wrong for ousting a cheater in the MV. And did i read there is a compromise? What!!! These characters should be deleted and Harborne's account exiled. How can this not be so, he has admitted to circumventing the MV and gaining extra characters ilegally.

Why is he allowed to remain, and more so those games, why are they allowed to remain. At the very lest only 3 characters scores should be allowed to remain, all else should be wiped.

I'll hold off on further respones in this thread till i hear from you Kryo, but this name calling shit has got to stop, and the email harrassment i am recieving Harborne too. This is way out of control and he should be dealt with.

He has called many respected members of the community assholes, he has cheated on the MV and he is harrassing me via email. What more must he do to get banned?

I have three forum accounts, Yes i said that, you can have 100 if you have that many emails. I also have two registered accounts here to. But both are registered with valid serials from two different copies of the game. I have not cheated the MV nor do i wish too. I put down my hard money to gain an extra set of characters....

I think Harbone is now worse than I am. I have changed a bit since that last time I trolled ,I think Harbone needs to be punished by,

1. Getting banned

2. Having his empire erased

3. Have all of his other acounts and characters erased

4. Having his karma erased

It's as simple as that. I refuse to talk to Harbone anymore or go near him. I read the karma Harbone gave Nelio, Motti and Kyro, I didn't like it at all, espicialy the use of the word ****, although I have a foul mouth, **** is something I would never use. Nelio, MK, next time Harbone says something rude, I'll have go on your side since it is the right thing to do.

The issue was discussed and for various reasons, we decided to give Harborne and Charley the benefit of the doubt re: metaverse. We do generally try to find positive solutions and take people at their word if there's no outweighing evidence to the contrary. The merge of his games to one character will result in a drop in overall total score, so there is a small penalty there.

The continued insults, inappropriate or insulting image-pastes (here and in other threads), and especially the abuse of the karma system (which I had not previously seen) to leave obscene comments--even after the resolution was reached--on the other hand, are harder to ignore. This really leaves me no choice but to issue Harborne some time off from the forums. He can continue to play games, but he won't be posting for a while.

If his behavior does not improve afterwards, of if harassment of other users outside the forum threads continues, I will be forced to take more permanent action.

And also I'll be going to the SGC forums to check and see if Harbone posted anything wrong.

I wasn't going to post in this thread again, but one last thing needs to be said.  Just to be clear, I hold no malice toward Harborne as far as the Karma thing goes.  Mine came from an offline discussion and I accepted it happily.  Hey, it's positive Karma, right? 

Harborne and I have other issues and will remain enemies for those reasons, but please don't hold that particular part against him.

Well believe it or not, I didn't think it possible, but take a look at Kryo's Karma comments. Now that's asking for it

okay, not trying to beat a dead horse here, but i read the karma comment he left for neilo, and that word is the single most dispicable word in the english language. i'm all for freedom of expression, but that's inexcusable IMHO, whether or not it's being used against a woman or a man.

i'm not saying this to the ToE or to the StarDock devs. i'm saying this for anyone who might not undersand how truly offensive that term is. if you didn't catch it... it's "the 'C' word" -- and if you still don't know what i mean, you'll have to ask a jerk you happen to know. but i'm saying this for anyone who might not realize just how vile a word this is. okay, i'm done. thanks.

Dys i am in total agreeance. If it was called to my face then the person in question would have a very irate person to deal with.

Kryo, thanks for interveening here and i can understand that SD tried to see the good in everybody and give them a chance but seriously, calling yourself and two community members a c*** in their karma has got to be the worse act of a community member i have seen in my 2 plus years here. Ive seen others exiled for less. On top of that i have recieved email harrasment from Harborne that is again, not in keeping with the spirit of the community. And on top of that he cheated. He knew what he was doing was wrong, how could one not know that that is not how you get an extra set of characters.

Look, i am still pissed at his comments, yes i know this is just a forum site and we all should have a thick skin and if i was giving shit out then i should wear it. But all i did was expose a cheater in the MV and he got pissed and exploded, and used what is totally unacceptable language on a public forum.

Harborne should be banned. For admitting to using other methods to gain extra MV characters. For excessive abusive of many members of the community. For using foul and beyond acceptable language and for harrasing another community member via email. If your worried about losing a customer, i'll buy another copy of GC2 to make up for the loss.....Ya see i don't mind getting extra characters the proper way insteading of cheating the system.

I know this topic has now been laid to rest so i will not comment on it further in this thread.

Originally I wanted to ignore this whole issue, but... Just to clarify:

- I received multiple empire invitations a month, even when ALL my characters are in active empires.

- I don't buy the 'I didn't know it was wrong' excuse for creating multiple characters with one copy of GC2, but that has been dealt with.

- Yes, I take offense at 'most' people in my empire being insulted, especially those who care a lot for the game and the community.

- Using the Karma system to personally insult fellow forum members (and a moderator) just absolutely tops it off.

Personally, I'd be happy to not see him again on this forum.
