no 700% tile bonus anymore

I have noticed that there were no 700% industry or research tile bonusses in any of my game since TOA update. Have the devs changed the distribution rules again?

I enjoy the game more when lots of high bonus tiles are available, in fact, I would like to see new bonus tiles added. An economy bonus tile would be nice! Maybe all purpose bonus tiles could be used for research, industry or economy. A 300 and 700% influence bonus tile would be handy at times. A double or tripple super project tile would be fun, it would double the effect of any super project built on it. How about a civ tile that would allow all of your planets to benifit from anything built on it, so, a factory built on it would be the same as adding a factory on each planet.

I have seen %700 bonuses for Manufacturing and Research since the TOA update. Multiple times for each in fact.

I have a 700% bonus tile on my homeworld in my current game and see them in every TA game I play even though I play on rare suns and rare habitable planet settings.

With the Korath's Dark Influence (200% influence) building on it. No thank you, they are sick the way it is with 100% tiles.

I've seen them plenty of times. I know they screwed up alot of stuff in TOA, but not this one. ^_^ Do some ctrl-N's or alt-N's or whatever the shortcut is.

In my usual medium maps there always seem to be exactly 1 of each. not sure if it's more or less in larger/smaller maps, but in every single game, also the 4 ones I started in ToA, I had 1 of each.

In's not just TotA. In my last few games of DA I haven't seen any. IMO their apperance is dependant of the size of the galaxy. In small galaxies (with fewer planets) they're probably deemed too unbalancing, so they appear very rarely. Or maybe they just appear very rarely, so you need lots of planets to see one?

I play immense maps and even after conquering all the planets one by one, I did not see anything past a 300% bonus. Even using the ctrl/n switch 30 times or more, the same thing is true.

Well to get such a tile on your homeworld by using Ctrl-N in an immense map would require a damn huge amount of luck ;P

Are you guys sure that you have seen every colonizable planet? I mean...it could be on that lvl4 Radioactive world nobody wanted to colonize...

Well, guess I'm lucky. I have yet to play a game where I DIDN'T find the 700% production AND 700% research tile eventually.
But then as written above, I play usually medium maps with lots of AIs, so I can be guaranteed that every single planet will be colonized asap.

My experience so far is that the bonus tiles, especially on the homeworld, seem to be more linked with difficulty than galaxy size. On my ZYW attempts at suicidal I almost always had several 300% tiles and possibly a 700% tile. With lower difficulties I'm lucky to even find one 300% tile.

What does ctrl/N do?

Restarts the game with the same settings, but a new map and home world tiles.

In TA I've seen the game freeze after doing it too many times and in DA I've seen the AI get set to Cakewalk-levels of intelligence at times. So use with some caution.

And better yet, doesn't require cheat mode to be enabled, so it can be used for MV games.

Cool. I wont use it though, it would feel to much like cheating. I cant alter the galaxy I live in now so I wont use the god-like power *ctrl/n* to create a galaxy that I like.

omg 700% influence tiles would be ridiculous lol

Large influence bonus tiles would spice up influence wars by forcing oponents to focus on retaliation. Maybe they must take that planet? or increase influence fast.

I see them in every game I play. I play immense maps with rare suns and rare habitable planets-not exactly a recipe for numerous worlds. I always play painful difficulty level at a minimum.
