I couldn't find this in search so either it's unique or I'm really dumb.
I'm playing the Twilight of the Arnor expansion and for some reason whenever I try to make a new design, etc. it won't save in the "user" tab... or anywhere unless I happen to check the "put in templates" box. Even after that I still cannot build a combat-ship, the only one I have is the defender it gave to me at the start with the colonization ship.

This is the campaign mode, first mission... do I have to have a cultural victory or something? There's no real objective check sheet that I could refer to in-mission is there?
