Planet Quality

Sorry if it was asked before, but i could not find information about it.

My question: what does planet quality bonus actually do, especially when i build a building like the gaia vortex, to already colonized planets? (where is the difference between +10% or +1 )?

PQ means tiles on your planet to build things. The PQ number directly correlates to the number of tiles you have. +1 would mean 1 extra tile, while +10% would mean 10% more tiles, so a PQ 30 would go to a PQ 33.

Just a side note to this, your colony building takes up 1 of these tiles. Thus why a PQ4 planet will only have 3 tiles for you to build improvements on and a PQ1 planet will be useless for improvements until you get Soil Enhancement to up the PQ/tile number.
