I'm Sure Good at Persistent Trade Routes!

So what are they?

So I was looking through the Civilization Manager's Stats and Graphs screen, and I came across an entry for my empire called "Persistent Trade Routes".

What exactly is that?

I ask, because I'm obviously very good at it. My empire's rating in this category is...

Wait for it...

296838984%

Mine is some crazy percentage too. My trade revenue isn't out of the ordinary though.

Actually, would you happen to be the Korx?

The Korx can build a structure to have "undestructable" trade routes (persistent). (Freighter can be destroyed basically without limit, it will come back without needing to build a new one.) If I recally correctly, that value didn't show in my race stats till áfter I built it...

Nope. No Korx techs. Korx aren't even in the game, so I couldn't have traded for it and forgotten.

I've got a few trade techs, but nothing really impressive.

And no UP event either, I assume.

Well, that's another theory out of the window, in that case, I have no idea.

Not sure what the "UP" stands for.

I did have a United Planets decree that doubled the income of trade routes, but that doesn't seem like it would be related, and besides, if it were it would mean that my stat was a mere 148419492% before the event.

Knowing "Persistent Trade Routes" is an actual main Ability which could be selected for any given race, i believe that may have to do with 'constant' cumulative values rather than any other type of features.

The regular system has it that if you were to maintain an efficient route (gaining outputs through continual back&forth ways - turn after turns)... it would eventually reach a "natural" maximum BCs; with Persistent, i suppose, this limit would possibly fall.

I'd have to test this theory further though.

Interesting.

Note, however, that I picked no trade bonuses for my custom race.

Also, I don't have any routes that are making more than 8bc.

I see a persistent trade routes ability in every game, and every game it shows a stupid high value.
