quick question: Thalan-MCC?

Maybe it's because I tend to play at slow/very slow research and my games are usually over before I have researched all/most, but where in the tech tree do I find the MCC for evil Thalans?

Thalans do not have access to the MCC, Secret Police Center, Temples of [Ethical Alignment], or any of the other galactic achievements normally provided by the Xeno Ethics chain. Their unique XE techs replace the standard techs, and so your unique Galactic Achievements replace the normal achievements.

I wouldn't be too miffed Herodias, 1.92 is going to 'fix' the MCC. I haven't DLed the zip to see what exactly 'fix' means, but if it means making it work the way it's description is...I wouldn't be too sad for it's loss.

Since Twilight broke the MCC entirely, any fix that causes it to do something at all is an improvement. Not that 1.92 will make the MCC go back to its insanely overpowered old functionality, but the loss of that functionality is not the fault of the 1.92 fix.

No, TA just stopped it from doing what it was never intended to do in the first place. I haven't downloaded 1.92 yet, but I believe that it finally fixes it so that it does what WAS intended- making planets flip more easily/quicker...and nothing else.

@Herodias: Why are you playing the Thalans as evil? The Thalans are a good race, and should be played as such. They get incredible bonuses after choosing good as their ethical choice. The Altarians are the only other race that get bonuses that good.

According to Boogie, once a planet gets the skull-n-crossbones it now is meant to flip. No more 'chance to flip'.

Thalans get good choices no matter which way they swing. They're not really roped into any single ethical alignment. The Thalans are also the only race with unique bonuses for going neutral or evil - thus, if you want something besides the normal standard evil and neutral rewards, you have to play evil or neutral Thalans. At least for unique good rewards you can play Altarians or Thalans, or even Drath for a somewhat watered down good experience.

One last thing on this. Thalans lacking the tech for the MCC doesn't stop them from buying it from an evil race and building the building. I did that in my one game to help out their economy.
