Combat Viewer Screen Question

I saw a start up screen hint that there is supposed to be a `combat viewer' screen that shows a close up cool battle between ships.

Exactly how do I access/enable this screen?

Open you options menu, look for an option that says Show Full Battles. There's also the option to set this so it goes to battle viewer only when one side is a fleet.

Name may not be exact, as I'm at work and GalCiv is not
