Nope. It's the summer vacations and I'll be moving back home to Glasgow soon.
Between travel, summer vacations, moving(from one country to another), sports, etc checking back here won't exactly be at the top of my priorities.

Besides, I have no ambitions in that direction anyway.

On that note, you won't be seeing much of me at all for a few months and I'd like to withdraw my name from the league until much much much later.

But, seeing FireBender's current situation, may I move to suggest Neilo, with his role as Commissioner Emeritus, take over Commissioner duties until such time as either a new election is held or some other form of appointment is made?

Certainly I see no issue with this. In fact there's not really much need for a commissioner in the middle of a round unless some issue comes up requiring a ruling. Even then it's most likely that an agreement can be reached even without a commissioner. It's what to do with next round that's a bit more of concern.

We should open the floor to nominations and an election for commissioner should be held immediately once the round is over. That's actually another need for a commissioner is to oversee the election of a replacement. Certainly Neilo could oversee this if he's able and willing.

If he's not able or willing then I'm sure we can come up with a couple of folks that could oversee the elections.

Also I'd like to recuse myself from running for commissioner at this time. I'd consider it at some future time but currently I find myself fairly busy as well.

I may as well start the ball rolling and nominate KzintiPatriarch for the office of MVL Commissioner.

I think it would be great if either KzintiPatriarch or Neilo would be willing to become Commissioner.

I'll second KzintiPatriarch's nomination. If he's willing, of course.

I'm happy to hold office as needed until an election can be run, and i will be happy to oversee such an election if needed.

Like mumble said, there is little need for a commish mid round and i can get the next round up and running as well if needed. Though i am happy to do this for as long as needed i am enjoying not being Commish and just having fun playing my games, so an election ASAP would be best.

I too support the nomination of KP as Commish. Though we will need someone to step up and be official scorekeeper...

Thank for the nominations everyone, but I have to decline. I feel like my GC2 time is pretty much maxed out with running the Kzinti Empire, captaining a team, and my actual playing time. The rest of my free gaming-time is taken up by other commitments (D&D etc). But I am willing to oversee the election for the next commissioner.

i what to put my name up for nomination. it may be a shot in the dark and all but what the hay. i may not be some of the old veterans here(no affiance)but i got the hang of things and i have been studing the MLV for sometime now but i finally got the courage to sign up for it and now why not so if i become Commissioner i promise to do the best i can.

I would like to nominate Noctilucus for Commissioner if he would be so inclined to accept. He has been a constant presence in the MVL for almost the entire span of its existence and has always been supportive and friendly with players from all teams and experience levels. I hope he considers this nomination seriously.

I dont think he has the time or inclination to accept, but I do think he would make a great commissioner. I believe he is going on holiday/vacation soon and wont be around much in the immediate future.

I somehow screwed up and played this game under my main character. Not sure how that happened and the low scoring game hurts that character but at least there should be no problem submitting it to the league.

Anyway here's my 6 year 125250 point game for the A Team.

Yep, I update my spreadsheet every time a score is posted. I also added a new page so that the season results are updated any time new data is entered too, including the bonus round.

I've also just updated my unofficial list. You can view it at Current Round Submissions.

Also note that I've updated my list to include the Players User name, which links to their User Profile (to PM them for example), and their Character name, which links to their character's metaverse profile (to check submissions). In some cases I had to guess which character that they use.

Anyway if anyone notices any error in either the links or submission data, please let me know.

Also this data is provided as a convenience for people to be able to double-check their own results. It is by no means official or guaranteed to be free from error, but hopefully people do find this to be of some use.

One thing I noticed while going through this thread looking for submissions is that a few folks were apologetic about their submissions. Generally this is mostly comes from some of the newer members but not always.

The point I want to make has been made a number of times but I don't think it ever hurts to repeat it. The point is that no one has anything to apologize about any game they submit. The only thing that deserves an apology is *not* submitting a game and even then only if for some reason you're not able to let people know that you won't be able to submit.

People tend to forget that they're playing randomly selected settings that are assumed to be outside of their normal comfort zone. Every game successfully completed is a victory and no one should ever feel that their game somehow doesn’t measure up. Certainly folks will do better at some settings versus others. Also people with more experience will tend to do better than people with less experience. Finally everyone doesn’t always have the same amount of time to dedicate or necessarily have as much interest in one round versus another.

All of this is totally natural and no one that submits a game should ever feel that anyone thinks less of them because it’s not the fastest game or highest scoring game. Every submission is important. Getting a bonus point for your team is nice but without people consistently submitting games round after round the league wouldn't last very long.

The real point is that you improve over time and there is no doubt that everyone in this league that has stuck with it has made significant improvements to their game. This is evidenced by the overall increase in people’s scores and decrease in game lengths as well as by people moving up in their difficulty level.

A quick bump to the thread. There are a number of people that haven't submitted yet although there does appear to be a few that have qualifying games posted to the metaverse but not submitted to the league.

There's only 57 hours left in the round, so let's get those games submitted.

From my count, there are 10 people who have not submitted games yet. I havent looked through any profiles yet though to find erstwhile games.
