Problem with the map editor

I have some problems with the ToTA map editor. When starting a new game based on the custom map the game crashes when launched, it seems to happen only when some races are included (and ships are included on the map, it works when only playing with humans and drengin ...).

Does the debug.err say anything? The most likely cause of a crash using modded files is a syntax error.

My problem is getting the map to open period. The map I made was Immense and 200+ stars. That map opens but doesn't show up in game menu (map saved in custom maps in My games TA file). I randomly generated planets and made a new file. It won't show up in game option either. I went to reload each map into the map editor. The Stars map opens fine, but the map with planets crashed the editor.

The custom maps folder under my documents doesn't seem to be working at present; try putting them in GalCiv2\Twilight\Data\CustomMaps and they should appear in-game.

I finally figured that out. The debug.err occured after I moved moved the planets map to the mod folder. It crashed after I set up a test between the Terrans and Altarans.

Actually I did two tests the first time I only had two planets around Sol. I named one Earth and set it as the homeworld, size 10. When I started the game, My homeword became Mars Size 4 with a capasity of 16? Oh and the earth was the other planet complete with texture.

So I redid the sol System with all 5 planets. And I added in ships. At this point I restarted a new game and the crash started on launch. Which the Debug.err above shows.
