FRESH LETTUCE Look closely at the package. Just below the words Fresco Lavado...

Don't forget this brand of fresh lettuce. What probably happened is, the
water the lettuce was washed in contained polliwogs and these became fresh
new frogs, right in the packages. So if you're looking for salad fixins
with a little more body, then be sure and try this brand. Don't forget,

Yup, I can see one frog luvin' owner of a software company and related websites getting up in arms over this... damned cruel practice of pre-packaging tadpoles (to hatch into a vacuum sealed bag, en-route) so's consumers have the freshest frog leg experience imaginable.

Nope, it's just not on!!! In fact, I'm gonna be contacting FUCT (Frog Union Caring for Tadpoles) about it immediately... I'm sure they'll be very interested.

And what is it with frog leg drumsticks, anyway? It's not like there's a lot of meat on 'em, and if you can't afford the pre-packaged ones, you'd be out hunting for weeks on end to give the family a decent feed. Yup, those darned Frenchies have a lot to answer for! ;p

Can't imagine for one moment they'll be too happy about the Mexicans trying to corner the market/steal their thunder with these ultra fresh pre-packaged 'hoppers'... well they woulda been hoppers had they not been born into a (very short) life in captivity, only to end up as a gastronomic delicacy on rich folks dinner plates. :d

Well I contacted FUCT (Frog Union Caring for Tadpoles) and they're so angry about this that they're enlisting TITS (Toads In Tadpole Support) to aid in battling this insidious crime.

Wouldn't surprise me in the least to hear they've approached the French Ambassador to Mexico to insist that they cease and desist immediately this... this deplorable act of cryo-vaccing embryonic frogs prior to even drawing their first breath. :SNIFF!:

Now, back to my chicken salad... well I hope it's chicken... they said it was chicken down at the store, but you never know these days... oh I really hope it's chicken... hmmmm, taste like chicken... smells like chicken, I think.... ooooh, I hope it really is chicken. :NOTSURE:

Yep, that's the indignity of it all... they're born naked into captivity, with absolutely no consideration whatsoever for their privacy or feelings of embarrassment and shame....

I did hear back from FUCT (Frog Union Caring for Tadpoles) and let's say that I'm far from impressed and their (abbreviated) name says it... well let's just say they've been less than effective....

On the other hand, however, TITS (Toads In Tadpole Support) has made some headway and has gotten an assurance from the company's CEO that they'll phase out the practice of pre-packaging tadpoles over the next 4 years or so. It's a start, at least, and I'm going to donate time, money and effort, to become a greater supporter of TITS than I have been in the past. :d :LOL:
