This had begun as a collection of starships based upon the Star Fleet Universe and other sources and has now evolved into the development of a full complete mod.

What you can expect to see:
9 custom major races to choose:
United Federation of Planets; Klingon Empire; Romulan Star Empire; Kzinti Hegemony; Lyran Star Empire; Hydran Kingdom; Gorn Confederation; Tholian Holdfast; and the Interstellar Concordium.

8 Custom minor races.

Custom technology trees and weapons set up for each race.
Custom player useable shipstyles for every race.

2 Custom Immense Maps: "Federation and Empire" and "The General War"

Custom Campaign: "ISC Invasion"

The mod will have custom weapons for the races. Pretty much everyone had phasors but not every one had disruptors or Torpedos.

When I start on tech trees I will respect the set up of your tech tree but I'll have to modify the weapons they can research. When I'm ready I'll give you a list of choices for you to pick.

Well the game developers make it clear that they break off of the normal Star Trek timeline. But this I do know this. Its based off of the original series star trek so its in the 23rd Century. According to their timeline though the General War which this mod is modeled off on takes place 170 years after Human and Vulcans meet.2063 the date Zefram Cochrane made his warp flight and met the Vulcans + 170 years would be 2233 (23rd Century). Its implied that events of Federation and Empire happen before the events of Kirk and the original series. Since that was in the later 23rd Century the timeline works out pretty well.

Actually that's not right because we don't meet the Gorn until the Series, in fact since they (Starfleet Games) don't have the rights to Kirk and the Enterprise the first meeting between the Federation and Gorns is referred to as a event in which two brash captains fired first and asked questions later and was an embarrassment for both sides which quickly settled their difference in the face of a common enemy, IE the Romulans. If I am not mistaken the war takes place after the series and technically before Star Trek I but again the two time lines go there separate ways.

As I said, different timelines. But by your own thinking you can't put Federation and Empire after the series and before Star Trek Motion Picture because Carrol Marcus in Star Trek 2 makes the comment that "Star Fleet has kept the peace for over 100 years."

I do know that the USS Enterprise(1701) is part of the Federation and Empire/Star Fleet Battles game. Its even in the Ship Name Registry I put a link to a couple of replies ago.

The important thing is what century? Both the show/movies and game place this at the 23rd Century which works for me since there level of technology matches.

Only time I enjoyed the mirror universe storyline was in the 2 part episode of Enterprise.

Minimum of one hull design for each hull type.

As for the Cargo hulls we need 2 (constructor and freighter)

Your right the time isn't really all that important. Though you know how hard it is to tell time with Star trek, they add stuff on and just try to make it work, like "enterprise". The Starfleet Universe's history was created in the early 80's before the next generation and Star trek I came out, hence the smooth head Klingons and so on. So their history is most likely going to collide with the established history now, like no Archer.

I do know that the Starfleet games have a limited license, which does not allow them to use the Enterprise or Kirk, which kind of sucks. Thankfully we don't have such a limitation. Though I think that was a positive for them since the game focuses on the Whole fleet not just one ship, even if it is the greatest in the Galaxy. And it allowed them to develop histories of other ships such as the Republic, MacArthur, and so on.

I know the Lyrans are behind schedule but life gets in the way you know. They will be uploaded on Tuesday at the latest.

Then I'll finish up the ship requests people have and do the expansion pack.

Then I'll take some of sethpenguin's Tholians and put them with my ideas to put them together.

I’m a long time fan of Star Fleet Battles, which I started playing back in the first release in the early 1980s. I mainly played the Kzinti, but love the Feds, too.

The GC2 ship designer is great fun. I was inspired to create a few ships based (loosely) on SFB. I see you have the Feds ironed out. Here are a few images of the ships I’ve used in ToA.


Fed DW (small hull) – basic defender


Heavy Destroyer (HDD), after Birth of the Federation (small hull) – fast responder


Heavy Cruiser (CA) (medium hull) – front line warship


Heavy Battle Cruiser (BCH) (medium hull) – flagship, best armor, weapons, engines


Dreadnaught (DN) (large hull) – flagship, planetary assault
