Broken / Missing Features in T of A (ridiculous!)

List of features...actually not in the game or not working

I've read through the list of features added to the Twilight of the Arnor expansion. Great! I get the game. I am disappointed. First of all, documenation/manual sucks bad. The "manual" for the expansion is some sort of early incarnation of what it should have been, it's missing explanation of all the Editors that game with the expansion (pretty ridiculous) and other explanations of features such as "Focus" in Shipyard (you select what focus you want but how to actually have the computer generate the ship for you is beyond me).

When you create custom ships, in particularly for a custom race....broken! I designed a fleet for game, saved it. Played same race in different game, using same ships but only 2 of them are in the User build menu. If I click on Shipyard, I can see all of them there! But when I click on the planet's shipyard/build ship feature only 2 custom ships are there. Rather lame. So now I have to go back and redesign everything. This is not a tech-related, I have all the techs to build the stuff.

You actually cannot create a custom race all the time for the game, in various modes like Accelerated Startup, you have to play as Terran and try to customize from there (good luck), it seems to destabilize and bug-out the game though.

Inexplicably, Terror Stars can blow up stars but not planets (if I'm not mistaken, you could blow up planets with them in original GalCiv).

There were a couple of other things but I totally forgot, oh well, I'll mention them later but someone else might.

Another I was going to mention was when you "Favorite" pieces. It doesn't save. Favorite items all you want (WHY DOES MENU RESET EVERYTIME YOU DO? Forces you to have to scroll all the way down again each time). Once you finish the ship, exit shipyard, but decide to go back and make another ship, your "Favorite's" menu is complete wiped and you have to re-Favorite everything again. Nice feature, implemented in a way that makes you think,"Well THAT was rather pointless."

I never bothered to check as I rarely use it but it's distressing to hear that Favorites still doesn't work. I know Kryo knew of it, mentioned it in the beta several months ago.

Who cares for manuals. I made it to masochistic without taking a look into the manual (except the story). The manual really is the last thing i want to be improved for TA, there are much more important issues and i can live with the way it is right now. What do you expect? TA is not that much different from DA, basic strategies in the game you have to discover by yourselves. In my opinion those that use the editors do not need to look in the manual for it. If you are already a modder these just make life easier.

Re: The ships, if you create a new ship design and then load an old save, you lose that new ship design; you need to create it, and then make sure you keep playing from that point I think (at least that was the case for DL and DA for me, I haven't actually checked for ToA yet)

I'm pretty sure I read on one of the forums that Brad said he was going to work on updating the game's documentation over the holiday weekend. Can't remember where I saw that, but I'm 98% sure that I did.

You are... idiotic.

Firstly, THERE IS NO MANUAL.

The one you may have seen is from Dark Avatar.

The manual will be out soon.

Secondly, the scenario-Terran-lock thing is...

...you guessed it, BY DESIGN!

And guess what: Terror Stars are made SOLELY to blow up starts!!!1!

btw: With the scenario editor you can take ones like Accelerated Start/Battle of the Gods and change your starting race from being the terrans now.
