Purchasing TotA?

Hi there,

I've been a fan of the series since the original game came out in 06.  Purchased DA after it came out and have been itching for TotA since it's intended release in December.  Now, I do realize I can download/purchase the game off the site, but here's the problem I am having.

1) I like to have a hard copy.
    a) I don't want to pay $10 shipping :)

2) It is advertised on the site that Circuit City, Best Buy, Gamestop, and EBgames carry the title.
    a) Every CC, BB, Gamestop, and EBgames within 60+ miles of me does not even have the game in their databases...

So I am kind of confused, is my state just ridiculously behind the times, or is the game only buyable through the site?

Thanks in advance :)

It seems that while I was waiting for this post to show up, someone already sort of replied to a similar question some ways down the forum.

I guess I just want to confirm if it is purchasable only on the site then before shelling out the $40 xP

Correct. You cannot purchase a retail box in a store.

By the way, keep in mind that that retail store box would have cost the extra $10 plus tax.

I'm getting the download right now, and I'll just zip and burn the games files to a DVD for easy storage. I don't really need to pay $10 for a printed manual, either...

I'm not so sure you get a printed manual :D

From what it looks like, buying the CD version, you get the box and the like too--which is part of why it appealed to me.

The CD version only has a CD in a sleeve. That is it.

Well Jeez Louise, I'll definitely just be burning off a backup, case closed!

Yes, I was being sarcastic. The day I spend $10 to ship something that could be sent in an envelop for less than half a dollar is they day I trade all of my vital organs for a Ferrari I won't get to enjoy.
