Reload save game - influence different

I would really appreciate some help with this issue...is it known or not?

Last night I saved my game, just as I was on the precipice of an influence victory - 74% according to the victory screen. When I loaded my game this morning, my influence was 67% - with other circumstances in my galaxy, victory had been snatched from my hands. I seem to recall poor experiences from reloading save games dating back to the original galciv.

Is this still a problem?

This is a problem in exactly the context you mention--saving and quitting when you're on the verge of an influence win.

The game re-calculates influence *after* processing the first turn of a session. Production also used to get "left out" when you loaded a saved game, but things have changed since DL. The influence problem seems to be the only holdover in this area.

I'm not sure whether it is still there b/c it is low on the dev priority list or b/c save files (and/or reload times) would be greater than the devs believe is good.

Thanks. I forgot to mention I was playing Twilight of the Arnor.

But as long as I know it's a feature, I will never again leave my game within a hair's breadth of an influence victory. The dread lords had just arrived too, so I am doomed without my influence win.

Usually running through a couple of turns will return the zone of control to it's presave levels. Though not always seemingly exactly the way it was but it gets real close.

I've seen this ZoC variation too, but I'm pretty sure that progress to the influence win recalculates "correctly" after you process the first turn of the session.

Influence started climbing as I played a few turns, but it never returned to its previous high of 74%.

It is odd. I notice it as well, more often than you might think. (Have one or two stability problems.)

I'm not the most detail-oriented player around here, but this makes me wonder if there's a problem here with TA.

It's been since well before the beta started that I last tried deliberately for an influence win, so I haven't been watching closely in TA.

Maybe the computer players made some significantly different choices during that first post-reload turn, e.g. building influence bases or improvements?
