How to loose to your own ascension.. ^_^

So i was in this huge galaxy game, and things were going great. I had 2 ascension crystals in my area, so i built 2 bases on them and started collecting points..

Then however, everyone hated me, so i tought i'd give my ascension bases away to someone else, to make them into the hate-target instead. This didnt work, i was still the one getting the ascension points even tough the other race now owned the bases.

Then, after loading my game today, the bases were gone, it may be because that civ surrendered to me, i cant remember if it was the same one ^_^
Anyway, so now there were 0 bases on the crystals, and yet somehow i "secretly" gained points without it showing up in the score up in the corner..

And now, my game abruptly ended.. Defeat! The Iconican Refuge has ascended.
Uhm, I'm The Iconican Refuge..  :LOL: 

I always keep the autosave at 5 turn intervals, so i can send the latest one if someone wishes.

Yeah! I saw this one too! Torians were about 30 turns away from ascension and I didn't have the backbone to attack them, so I just made a ridiculously unfair (to whom, I wonder?) trade - most of my techs for their single ascension base. But until I reloaded, the Torian ascension countdown kept on going!
