Campaign: Crossfire - Economy?

I am seeing others ask similar questions, but I need some advice myself... Yay! I have three huge battleships. Boo, they are sucking my economy dry. No matter how I configure my sliders, I am still at -200bc a turn. Do I need to scrap these behemoths or just build a ton of econ structures? I usually research econ first so I can get a little ahead of the curve, but it's not really working. I don't think I am expanding too fast either, or am I? I grab 3-4 planets in the beginning and then try to nurture them, but my econonmy still continues to spiral into the toilet. A nudge in the right direction would be helpful. Mick

The only nudge I'll give you is to not worry about that economy. You start out with a decent chunk of money that should last you until the end of this mission w/o needing to attempt to balance it out.

Most of the TA missions aren't meant for you to sit back and build up before venturing out. They are mainly 'rush rush rush' due to the large hammers held over your head. The DL are one and the economy sink the Arnor ships that you need to hold back the DL are the other one.

Get across that galaxy to your location and end it.
