For the past week or so, whenever I've tried to start a Metaverse game, when I try to log in it fails due to getting an "unrecognized response." It tells me to try again later and, well, it's later, and the message is the same. Since others have certainly able to log into the metaverse during this time period, it seems likely the problem's on my end rather than serverside. Any ideas on how to fix this?

Edit: Fixed it. My computer was infected a couple weeks ago, and in my attempts to remove the infection, I ran...a registry cleaner. Of course, I don't notice a problem until I try to start a Metaverse game. As I was reading through other bug reports, including Mumblefratz's "rants" (his word) on SDC, I realized "Wait, what if my serial number got lost" and then remembered my struggles with that darn trojan. All it took to fix it was running SDC.

Edit Again:  Just in case someone else searches for this, and finds this thread, the above solution wasn't actually the case.  Instead, it appears I can't have Internet Explorer working offline.  Something I generally have set, since I use Firefox instead.
