Terror Star is a bug?

I played few test games in ToA environment.
My opinion about Terror Star: this is a bug. Why?

- too expensive in techs
- too slow
- too weak (TS is destoyed when is attacked by one ship with one laser1)
- too long time from completing build to ready to use status

So, if you spent many many time to discover all TS technology, you have expensive, extremelly slow and weak moving stabase, which "only" may destroy all star system.
Is it Usefull?
If I use stack of ships + Terror Star - yes, but if I have gigant "stack of ships" why use expensive and slow TS?

Do you agree? I'm waiting for your opinion.

How is it a bug? It's working as intended.
Galciv believes that you shouldn't give players the ability to destroy planets quickly, since that's what players do in end games.

But it's under powered, definitely. Maybe if it could really slow down enemy units near it, than it would be useful (trap enemies)

You only have to defend it for 10 weeks. Build the TS behind enemy lines and then defend it until it is ready to fire. If you build it next to their home star (or other important one) it can really tip the balance.

I also don't get why everyone says its so expensive. I have not had much trouble getting it. I would like to see it have some defenses, or better yet only improve those of surrounding ships so that they have a better chance to defend it.

Just give what most people want:

A terror star that is a death star. Full of weapons, shields, etc. plus the ability to blow up stars - a one unit fleet of death.

It is the coolness factor - nothing else. Anyone who can actually build the sucker with all the required tech is already smashing the universe! Where it would be cool is where multiple races on a gigantic/immense galaxy are fielding them - sort of a battle of the Titans.

Make Terror Stars the ultimate HUGE ship with normal capabilities + the ability to destroy stars (although I would prefer planet destruction myself....)
