survey ships and enemy constructors

glitch or not

ive noticed since dark avatar that all survey ships when set to auto survey go directly to an anomalie evan if the they should not be aware of the anomalie (eg an anomalie in unexplored space)

since toa ive noticed that enemy constructors will do the same and head straight for the nearest resource node i spend turns and turns looking for them only to have a civ halfway across the universe pop up a starbase within 2 sectors of my homeworld is this supposed to be like this ?

That has always been the case, even in the base game. Surveyors have special anomaly-detection equipment :)

How do you know they have not scouted them?

I've noticed this to. Minor races seem to be the best at this, constructor ships heading to nodes across vast distances early in the game

Actually, I generally spend some money up front for spies and then get low espionage on the neighboring races. I then click their constructors, see where they are going, and beat them there.

See? Problem solved. Use your opponents strengths as your own.
