Messed up First Contact

The Altarians just informed me that they were researching Advanced Troop Mod, but I certainly haven't met them before.

Clicked the speak button, had a bout of trading. Left. They're not in Foreign screen... I assume 'cause I haven't actually met them.

Also, I'm pretty sure that I met the Korath twice, second time right after they started Ascension Victory.
