had no problems submitting before. this time i did but no score showed up since ~1:00am est when i submitted. i had my zonealarm firewall popup asking me to let galciv access the internet and i said ok. the popup confirmation showed.

hummm me i finish the game 5 times at pure evil and my morality on metauniverse is good (:(

I have same problem as Russell above; i upgraded to 1.05, submitted (twice), got the 'ack' screen, nothing shows on the metaverse. Worked in 1.04 and prior.

I'm having problems submitting too. When I submit it says it was succesful but nothing shows up, been trying for a week or more to get this to work, even tried a different pc because I think my home pc was suffering from severe firewall isolation, but even on a pc with no firewall etc doesn't work. This is very frustrating.

Yeah I have no firewall that i know of. My personal firewall is disabled. It worked before 1.05. Ideas?

I haven't been able to get submission to work with either 1.04 or 1.05 so I would really appreciate any help? T-Man????

Tried again last night, still couldn't do it. Still got the 'comfirmation' dialog. Why would it give the dialog but not post the score? Help anyone? This really sucks.

Hey T-Man... it started up again.... Once again I'm unable to submit scores to the Metaverse... they just won't update... tried three times already.... even turned off my Firewall and AdBlockers which were causing the problem last time.

G'day T-man. More of the same, a new game, victory, score on submission screen of 10487 and nothing showing up! What has changed since 1.04?

Latest version, finished a game on Gigantic, connected to the internet, entered warrior name ("Colonel E") and the email address I use for my galciv.com account. Pressed submit and it hung for about 20 seconds then gave me a "Success!" message.It did not show up on the metaverse site. As this is the fourth time this has happened, I'm wondering what's up with the submition. And yes, I have reigistered my warrior.

OK, one more problem with submitting a game. I tryed it for several times, no succes. Every time when I press "submit" button, the game returns to the main menu without leaving a word. My player name is fine, email adress the same. Can you tell me, where it the bug? Game version 1.04 (former 1.03, the same problem).

Well after many attempts it looks like todays submission has made it! Still would like to know what happenned to prior submission. Should I try again? (I have the saved game.) Is there an underlying problem with submission since 1.05 was released? :notsure:

Excellent support for Galciv, but a lack of support for the Metaverse. Everyone seems to be ignored and not be helped at all. What is going on with things there? I know I am being negative but this really needs to be addressed and it appears you guys are dropping the ball. (:( Okay I said my two cents, PLEASE fix the problems?

I just submitted a score that the game said was 5000, but the metaverse is reporting it as 0, with a difficulty of Anomalous (sp). I have no mods installed and have run the game just fine the past 4 days after upgrading to 1.05. I'm hoping this is just a temporary glitch is making my ranking go down 40 steps and caused my overall game score to drop down, which affects my empire. Is there anything that can be done to make sure this is fixed? Thanks!

I always have to save before the game end and submit the game twice to get the confirmation. The first submission never goes through. But if I save it under my name and then endgame again and send it met takes it and I get the confirmation.

Not sure if this is the right forum, but here goes. I was playing as 'Christopher Packer'. I changed my email address and re-started. I registered on the Metaverse as 'Dropbear'. I finished a game and submitted it as Dropbear. On the Metaverse it registered under Christopher Packer. I then tried to change my nickname to Dropbear in Wincustomize, but it said that nickname was already taken! So I changed my nickname to 'Drop Bear'. The game appears under the name Drop Bear. My player name is now different to my nickname.
My question is: should I submit future games as Drop Bear, Dropbear or Christopher Packer? Does it make a difference? :notsure:

Well I *finally* got my submissions to go through. Here's what I went through. I reinstalled norton internet security, it was acting loopy and i thought it might be the culprit. I then uninstalled and reinstalled GalCiv. Guess what, none of my save games would load, despite it being identical versions (AFAIK). I finally played a new game and just finished and submitted it. I suggest everyone who is having problems to delete galciv and reinstall. Grumble, still not happy at the total lack of support for metaverse, but i'll live.

Chris, I don't think the player name has anything to do with the Metaverse. It is your nick that counts after you have linked it to your serial no.

Since your new nick is now Drop Bear, all your future games (provided you indicate Drop Bear on the endgame submission screen of course) will be under Drop Bear.

Yeah, hi. Um, I've submitted a couple games I've finished now and still haven't appeared so I guess Submission is still a problem? Sorry to be a pain...

I submitted a game this evening and got the "successfully submitted" message - but it hasn't shown up. The first time I had the wrong alias - so resubmitted with the correct alias.
I got the Successful Submission message with both aliases though.
