How to use terror stars?

Ok, i did it. I have built my first terror star. BTW i would rather have them to look a bit bigger, they are not much bigger than my small hulled ships and they are called terror stars, not terror tennisballs.

But somehow i did not find out how to actually destroy star systems. Maybe someone that is able to can explain how to do it or post a screenshot, i simply do not have a button to activate it and clicking on enemy targets does nothing as well. Do i have to do more than to research the 5 ts techs and mobilize it? It is moving, it would just be a bit cooler if it were able to shoot as well. Maybe i am just blind and do not see the button...

I got it to attack the star. The problem was i had to click on the star and wait until it arrived on it. I was too impatient and did not see any reaction, so i gave up too early. Maybe a small cursor change when pointing on a star to destroy to indicate you can attack it or any other form of feedback when attacking would be fine for people like me ^^
