Sure your not confusing the 250 games played medal with the 250 games won medal. The 250 games won medal is an achievement medal and should slot in between the 100 game winner medal and favorite race medal.

What exactly does CTRL + F5 do anyway mate?

I'm seeing a 250 battles medal, but not a 250 game won medal.

I dunno about Kryo helping you. That guy has been out of the loop for some time now. He won't say what made the AAR forum disappear.

I don't know what anyone else is seeing but I don't see the 250 win medal either. I reeeeeally hope that neilo (and myself) haven't wasted our time going for the 250 win medal just to find out it doesn't exist. I won't be playing any more ZYW's until I see a 250 win medal under neilo's name. Hopefully it shows up considering all the grinding you had to do to get it.

Hopefully someone from stardock is considerate enough to give us an answer on this issue. We shall see.

As to the medal, it's hard to say (if only the two of you have earned it only just now, it may have been broken from the start). I'll see if I can find anything out about it but metaverse stuff is a lot lower on the web team's list than forums stuff.

understandable. the more pressing question to us if a medallion should be showing up there or not. Since the medals are only listed as "achievements" in the legend, and no one outside of Neilo has even reached 250, we just don't know if we should be seeing these things or not. So I guess, its a "we're in the dark and clueless" kind of issue. Thanks Kryo ahead of time for checking the forum stuff tomorrow, and I suppose now this too.

@Silver...if the 100 Games Won medal shows it would seem the 250 Games Won medal would too..they are of the same ilk.

Didn't notice till now they just said achievement. Seems maybe just a simple explaination of what they are actually for would clear it up. Shouldn't take up too much of anyone who knows time to clarify it. Unless it was designed to be a surprise when you hit it .

Yes, some acknowledgment of if i have actually achieved the next achievement would do Kryo. I must admit i have assumed the next medal was at 250 but it could very well be higher.

Also Kryo, i have noticed a growing trend in the treatment of the Metaverse. It always seems that it is pushed aside or deemed unimportant in the face of other issues.

Now i understand that the web team would obviously be busy with the forums and that is indeed more crucial than the MV, but i really hope Stardock is not choosing to neglect the MV in favor of other efforts. You guys need to remember that there are a lot of players out there that play exclusively on the Mv and it is as crucial a part of the game as any AI tweaks or ship graphics.

I'm not whining here mate, just trying to let you know not to give up on the MV just yet, there are still many players who love and it is the glue that binds us to the game.

I think it should be clear from the MVL alone that there are a lot of players out there who care alot about the Metaverse. Fixing issues that may arise from the medals probably aren't as glamorous as a new forum or the next release, but TA will bring a new influx of players. And those should have a fully working Metaverse, as it is the only way of comparing to other players.

Neilo, maybe in the mean time someone could design a temporary medal or banner proclaiming your 250th win. Something like the MVL team banners or something to that effect.

I'm not sure, was it Marshall O'Neil who designed them (sorry if I'm not crediting the original artist).

You could always take it down when the real medal shows up.

I give a big second to what neilo said. Achieving metaverse goals (in this case medals) is what helps make the gameing experience interesting for many players. Setting up a metaverse for people to compare and compete and then neglecting it is, if you'll pardon my languadge here, half-assed. I frankly would expect more from a company that put out such a good product as galciv2. If you're not gonna maintain it, then better not to have it.

p.s. And as for achievement medals, an explanation about WHAT the achievements require would be a simple courtesy. It would prevent people from wasting time pursuing goals that they logically assume exsist (like 250 win medals).

Your right Particle it was Marshall that created the original banners, though others have done some great work too..Piz's efforts come to mind!!!

The 'favourite race' medal only works on DL games.

It should take DA and TA into account as well, especially with the upcoming release. (And I consider the MV to be part of the game, so it should be as bug free as possible.)


Maybe if we compile a list of current MV / medal bugs the web-team could afford to spend a day or two working on them, instead of requests coming in one at a time? Might that be some kind of compromise?

Sounds like a good idea, this thread is as good as any for us to discuss that too i guess. Racial Medal shuld be adjusted to include Korath and Krynn too.
