Sins of solar empire specs ques?

Hi I vsisted a couple of websites to find specs for SoSE, and got mixed info on specs.. My PC is windows XP,2.5ghz pentium II,512MB RAM,plenty of Hard Drive memory..but my graphics card is 64MB ATI Radeon 9000 with a catalyst control centre...would this be enough??..and is sins of Solar empire available through retail stores..or is it download only?

A Radeon 9000 is only a DirectX8 card, and a very slow one at that. So it *might* work, and if it does, it'll probably perform very poorly. If you want to be sure, check the demo which was just released.

Sins is available at retail in North America. Retail availability in Australia/NewZealand and Russia is coming soon. We've currently yet to secure a deal with a publisher in Europe though so if you're there, you will need to buy it direct or import it.

I have a similar setup and when I play Sins it has to be pretty much on the lowest settings, though I keep the resolution at 1280x1024. The game is playable but large space battles get really bogged down and whenever I open up the research UI the game significantly slows down to where it takes about 15 seconds or so for it to register what you want to research or just to get a mouse over tooltip.
