Serial code

Hello.  I just joined the metaverse and when I went to create a player it said I need my serial code... and I can't remember what it was.  I'm kind of new to this site, so is there a button that has a new serial code sent to my email or some other way I can recover my serial code?  Thanks in advance.

If you registered the game, just click the My Account link above then the Registrations link on that page. Your serial will be listed there.

Well, if you didn't regsiter it, then we won't have it. You'll have to dig up the box/manual where it's printed.

I bought it online. It wasn't through ebay or anything, I just decided not to get the box version. So, theres no other way for me to recover my serial code?

If you bought it from us, then it should be listed on the registrations page, unless you're on a different account from the one you bought it on (in which case you wouldn't be able to make the metaverse character either).

Oh, ok. Then I just have to find the old account.

When I go into stardock central it says I have the gal civ 2 software and all that stuff purchased. Is there any way to find my serial code from that info, or my old account name?

Thanks for all your help.

Ack, actually it looks like the registrations page is just broken. In which case you can also enter your email at http://support.stardock.com to get an email with your serial, or use the retrieve serials option in SDC.

Where is the retrieve serials option? Sorry, I'm not very familiar with SDC.

Never mind, I found it. Thanks for all your help.

More trouble... is there any button that will just give me the serial that I put in to get the game? When I lookup serial number and tell it to send it to my e-mail, it just sends me the info that I have this account.

That should be working--just checked it and I got my serials fine. Are you sure you put in the right email address?

If all else fails, best contact [email protected]. Though they may be off until Tuesday due to the holiday.

My old e-mail address, the one the serial is set to, is now no longer working. As in, deleted.

In that case, just log in here with that account, and you should be able to go to My Account->Stardock Account and change the address to one you do have access to. If you've lost the password to that account though, you'll need to have support help you recover it.

So theres no way for me to determine my account or anything through SDC?

Then I will contact support later I guess.

Thanks.

Ok, I think this is the one. :)

I input the old e-mail address and what I thought my old pass was...

YAY!

Now... is there any way to change the account name? I think I spelled this one wrong... lol

Anyway, thanks for all your help.

*twitch*

It still says my game is not registered, but this is the account. Is the registration page still having problems?

You can change both the acount name and the email address it uses on the My Account->Stardock Account page of the forums here. Once you've set it to use a new address that you can access, you can use SDC/support site to retrieve the serial for that address.

I fixed my account name, but how do I change the e-mail? It shows me the old e-mail but when I click on it it won't let me change it.

You can change the email on the logon info tab of that page.
