Problems submitting to the Metaverse - anyone else having the same issue?

I have the same problem, can't figure out why.
I've registered stardock, through the webpage, etc.

Well, there seem to be more than one person experiencing issues; I'll just sit quietly and wait for Stardock to fix it .

Remember, some background tasks (like Seti@Home), seem to interfere with being able to submit to the Metaverse. Are you running this? Others have mentioned that having SDC up and running at game submital time can interfere with their ability to submit to the Metaverse as well.

Does the submit screen come up?

Yes, the submit screen comes up; I submit and it appears to access the network, but the score is not registered.

I've played 11 games thus far, and no problems until now. I'm not running Seti, or any other background tasks (that I'm aware of).

I have trouble with my machine that is still running 1.02.

I haven't finished a game on my machien that 1.35 since last night, it worked then.

I have had the same problem on and off for a while now. One game will register, then not, then again, then not... Currently on 1.03A.057, the game before this one registered, but this last one didn't.

If a log file would be produced when the program fails to register, at least I could see what is wrong. I am assuming my registration is correct, as it did work before...

I also had problems, but I did not get the submission screen. I am using AOL.

I tried loading my 1.02 game into 1.03A, and the load works fine, but the submit fails there too.

I give up, I was told that the submission problem would be resolved in this last update, but I still can't submit my game from version 1.2(something). Maybe next update. I just hope my new game will go thru.

How long does it take for a score to post in the Metaverse after you submit it?

I may be experiencing this I sent one in tonight but it hasn't appeared.

The game I just finished isn't showing up either.

Usually they appear on Metaverse immediately.

Same issue here, submit and get nada. Something's screwed with the metaverse (again).

Add me to the pile as well. Last 2 games would not submit. 1.02 standalone patch. (:(

Me too, I just finished my first game under 1.3A or whatever, and it didn't register...

Yeah I have the latest 1.03A.57 Ah but I seem to see it's a conspiracy to us my Apolyton brothers! j/k

We will want to keep this issue on the first page, hopefully that way it will be addressed.

I submitted a score last night, and it didn't post on the metaverse. It's the first time it happened to me.

After a failed submission, has anyone tried taking the last save (especially if you use autosave), replaying to the end, and submitting again? Any success?

It really should give you the option to save locally and submit at a later time, to accomodate dialup users if for no other reason. Oh well...

Yes I have resubmitted repeatedly (just tried a few minutes ago).

I always save right before a win because it doesn't always go through for whatever minor reason. I wouldn't have even said there was a problem except for the fact that it's failed several times.

Hmm... the one interesting thing I hadn't though of is that something in the background may interfere... I do have a virus scan and pop-up stopper loaded...

Can somebody tell me what normally happens when you submit a score?

I get the enter your alias and email screen, I submit, and that's it... is there some kind of confirmation?

Nope, no confirmation. One of the worst submission UIs I've ever seen since having a confirmation/failure message should have been a no brainer for whoever got stuck coding this element of the game.

Also, I doubt it's anything in your background affecting the issue because the majority of us posting are used to how the system works and have been successful. Plus, notice that not one person has chimed in on this thread to say that they were able to submit.

They've screwed something up again with the metaverse. I can only hope they've taken it offline to recalculate scores and didn't bother to announce it to us.

Add one more victim to the list. As of 5/5 I haven't been able to get a new game score into the Metaverse either. I tried again today with no luck. I sure wish that there were some sort of confirmation / error message that would come up after a game score has been submitted. As it is now, you have to rely on blind faith that it's getting in there, and we're finding out that it doesn't work all the time.
