TA map editor

For the Map editor in TA, is there limitation to how large a galaxy one can create in terms of number of stars and planets.  Thanks

There are limits, and the editor will tell you when you reach them (pop up a warning dialog).  If I remember correctly it's around 1000 for stars and 5000 for planets.

Heck, I'm still trying to figure out how to zoom in and out of the maps I try to make since I don't have a scroll wheel on my Logitech trackball :p

first you can't put stuff 3 spaces from the edge of the map, then you can't put stuff to far from a star, so many limitations...

The limitations are what the game uses... they aren't to deliberately stop you from doing stuff in the editor...

well in lost empire, you get a max of 5000 stars per galaxy=5000 planets. I guess we can have the same thing too for Galciv 2. Awesome.

We have since hooked up the +/- keys as an additional zoom option for users with such a setup.  That, along with some other map editor usability tweaks will be available in one of our upcoming beta updates.
