Metaverse score calculation changed ?

I have finished a game with 1.035 and the score is very low for the game ..... !!?? .....

Difficulty: Challenging (3x Bright)
Galaxy Size: Medium
Win: Cultural Conquest
Score : 226

This morning I went back to just before I won my last two games, finished them and resubmitted the scores. The new scores (with 1.03A) were about 1/3 of what they had been with 1.02. My masochistic win on large was less that 600 points.

Yes the scoring system has been changed to reduce the effect of population on scores and enhance the effect of faster wins. It is an effort to stop 'score amassing' where players keep just below victory conditions and amass huge populations in an effort to get high scores. Stardock will eventually go back through all acores and recalculate using the new scoring system.
