Highest PQ planet?

Just curious what's the highest planet quality you guys have run into? I ended up with a PQ 39 planet. "Inherited" it from the Arceans at PQ 31, and then with some Terraforming techs it ended up at 39 by the end of the game.

I figure it must have started around 26 or 27. How come I never get to start with a planet that nice? :p

At the game start and without modifying PQ, I had a PQ 26 planet in my neighbour system.
Throughout the game, the highest value I encountered was also 42, although this was caused by a random event.

I have a 42 right now. Took it over from an ai civ via cultural influence. Was already soil enriched and habitat improved, I terraformed it. Will go up further once I build "The Terraformer" wonder.

As of 1.03, the highest planet quality verifiable as legit is 81, without library mods. With them, I think you can manage 120-something.

During the beta, I had one planet up to 190 (morale resources also improved planet quality for a couple builds). Never did manage to find out what the max population on that planet was.

64 (no Mods, it hd been upgraded by the PreCurser event). Belonged to the Drengins. I *had* to take it from them.

The best PQ I have seen on a planet before colonization and improvement is 26. Found two of those right next to each other once. :)

Highest I've seen is a 53 that the computer had. It had an event upping it, so I went and took it from it ;)

I want to see one of those 81's...... :d

I just got a 52 in my game. did all the upgrades I could with no precurser event, no mods. v 1.0

81 would be cool. To combat morale, I did all the morale upgrades on my 52, then when a planet got sore, I just took a transport full of about 1000m to my pleasure planet. Solved that problem. HEHE.

I've gotten a 63 with no mods, but I was wondering for those rare few that have seen higher: does it change color scheme again? Or once it reaches 26 and turns that Irradescent, 80's funk neon "utopian" color, does it STAY that way for all future "upgrades?" I mean that seems a little weak, you get different color schemes for the planets calss 1- 20, then it's the same from 20-25 and 26 thru 120 is the same?! (I'm in the arts as an occupation, so things like this pick at me.)

Granted, the chances of having such a thing happen in a game is more rare than having a fleet of excaliburs. BUt I think it would be a simple and lovely touch to have the plant's color scheme change every 8-10 "upgrades" after it gets to 26. I dunno, minor thing I know, but would be an added creature comfort I suppose.

I've never been beyond that funky color scheme. Even at 52. And the "Garden of Eden" description remains as well.

Just for fun, I colonized a class 3 world just to see what it would say. I punched description and it said "A pathetic planet to say the least...One citizen called it the 'Hell Hole' of the Terran Alliance. One wonders why it was colonized in the first place."

I've gotten a class 20 planet up to 36 after sending about two dozen colony ships to colonize the planet, get PQ bonuses, and then dispand.

The only reason i stoped at about +75% PQ was because my alignment had droped from the mid to upper 60s to the mid to low 30s. Didn't want to become evil since i was right next to the Torians :)

There's no reason why this process can't be repeated indefinitely if you don't care about your alignment, so the "max PQ planet" doesn't really exist.

None of the equations i've seen for "legit" max PQ seem to take into account even a single worm event for a single landing, which makes me suspect how accurate they are.

Two lvl 94 planets in same game. One was an Altirian planet in the bottom left corner at lvl 85 and the other was an Arcean planet in the top right corner at lvl 85. When I took over they jumped to lvl 94.

Alright, what the HECK am I missing here? I've played this game several times - with several variations - and have never seen anything above the mid-40s (though I admit I haven't paid close attention to all the alien planets). I recently finished a tech victory in a Gigantic galaxy (i.e., I'd terraformed a few planets and built The Terraformer), but the best I had was a 45. I'm no bonehead, so what am I missing out on? Planets in the 80s and 90s? Over 100+?!? A little help, guys... :notsure:

The Life Force Artifact event, which is also a colonization event, has a 10% higher max PQ bonus than the Earthworms event, and is listed in the equation I gave for 1.02.

Well, themost important factor is that you can theoretically find planets with a base PQ of 35. This is what we've been told. I've never seen a planet over base PQ 23, but they're supposed to be out there.

The other big thing is the Precursor Event, which increases a planet's quality by 50% (and every other planet within a sector or two as well i believe)

So take that rare event, and if it happens to occur, and it happens to occur next to an incredibly rare 35 PQ planet, then you can nickel and dime it with the other improvements up to the 80s.

I believe the 85 was including the +15 PQ bonus ability which has been nerfed, but you can make up for the missing 10% with the Worms planet event pretty easily.

I stumbled onto a base 27 PQ planet in my third game, virtually right next to Earth. Lovely little boost that proved to be.

I got a precursor PQ event colonizing a class 26 world that compined with my +5 stat made it a 39 before enhancements, ka-ching! Lost 10 morality points, but oh well, it was a sacrifice that had to be made. :D In this same game the Altarian capital is a purple star with a 26. Actually while I have seen a natural 26 PQ planet in most of my games (didn't always get them :sniff!: ), I cannot remember seeing planets with a PQ between 20 and 26 starting off. I find that a bit odd, up to 20 then only 26 thereafter.
