Newbie Needs Help with Game Turns don't end!!! :(

Hoi there! Yesterday I was playing the game just fine. I'd hit the turn button and the turn would end and my planets would produce and research would be done. Today when i booted up the game my turns don't end ... all that happens when i hit TURN is that the turn button turns to a little clock. And the game seems to stop. I can still move around and open windows and what not. Sooo I experiement and hi "enter" ... GREAT! Now I get the turn button again and my survey ship starts flying around again on it's auto-survey mission, but strangely enough no time is passing by. No production is happening, no research is completed, yet my survey ship is trundling all over the universe uncovering all kinds of anomolies.
This problem occurs with auto skip off. The whole thing with htiing enter and no time passing. If I leave auto skip on the game just stoops no matter what I do.
Please help I really want to play this game, I need something to get over the pain and disappointment of MOO3

i had a similar problem once too, i just hit the FIND button and it made the clock go away...i think the bug is that the clock doesnt go away, even though its done...

I have experienced this problem as well. try restarting the game, or rebooting and then restarting.

I have also seen a case where this happened, I restarted the game and the problem went away, but then I met the Archaens twenty turns later and they still had their starting planet, money, and population.

I watched them for a few turns and they never did anything. I think the eternal clock occurs because of a bug in processing the AI turns.

It's as if the program couldn't find the Arcaens or failed to access their strategy.

I discovered something once--If you have a colony ship on auto-pilot to a yellow star that you already have colonized but you plan to colonize a second planet in that system, when the ship gets there it gives you no prompt. If you arent paying attention and dont see the ship arrive and hit end turn without colonizing a planet then it goes into the never ending clock symbol.Yes you can still check out other screens and even move some ships but the turn wont end.
Ever since then I set auto-pilot to 2 or 3 spaces away from star and move it in manually.

Ok ... I've tried everything and this game is COMPLETELY unplayable. I can't get my money back from COMPUSA (note to self do NOT buy games from these people anymore)
I'm starting get a little irrate. What's his name Frogboy Frogman ... I HOPE there is someway he could get this message. I need help here. I've spent $43.00 on a product that is unusable. Is this a violation of Warranty of Usability? Can I get my money back from you?
Someone please help me here. I'd rather keep the game, but not being able to play for 2 days upon purchase is completely unacceptable.

Are you patched up? There were some issues with the main screen not -refreshing- at EoT (even though numbers were being updated in the background), but if you went into your domestic screen, you'd see the new numbers. I think they've all been fixed at this point though.
