Ok guys, to answer your questions:

Yes, Novocastrian stands for newcastle upon tyne. I'm half french half italian but live in the UK and also a big fan of NUFC, so I have to balance my passion for europe with my passion for the team. So here is the deal: I'll change the empire's name to European Alliance (or something else, we'll need a vote) once more people join.

Forget about the UN: our mission is precisely to create a bipolar system, s the rule of international lore obviously is not being respected.

Hi all. New emperor, hu? :waves:

I've gone and done something daft. Summed up in the lines: "I bought Gal Civ yesterday. I got to sleep about 4am."

Fun :D Though I am already missing the "Auto-launch ships" check box :(

Well people. My original idea, when I created the alliance, was to emulate as closely as possible the functioning of the institutions in which I work and believe. I really do believe that what we are doing here at the moment goes well beyond a simple common market or currency: is the first truly pluri-national liberal democracy. As such, it is based on the principle of power sharing and rotation. It is only fair that Italy (ehem, and not France) gives way to Belgium for the new presidency. But I will not retire. As founder member of the Alliance (signatory of the Treaty of New Rome) I will remain Senator, and advise the new Emperor on several policy issues, although this advice may be private at times. I would also like to oversee his term, and ensure that the rotation system, if and when supported by popular demand, is respected. From my part, I wish to thank G-Force for all the efforts he has made for the Alliance under my term: he has always been the most active member, greatly respected by all overlords, very supportive in times of crisis and always moderate in times of greatness - without him the Alliance would not be what it is. May he serve as an inspiration for all young aspiring overloards and Senators. I do not doubt that under his rule the Alliance will reach new hights again. G-Force can be reassured that he will always receive my most vivid support.

Difficulty report will be updated around Friday or Saturday and Major Empires might get an entry in a couple of weeks. I am still popping in about 2 or 3 times a week, but only for an hour or two each time. The hardest part about being a spy used to seeing action is those times when one has to lay low and look and work like a normal citizen to maintain cover. And I've been laying pretty low lately.

So far 29 of the 102 current members of the Alliance have registered at our forums. I'm hereby asking all other members to do the same.

Members of other nations are also allowed to register off course. Yet access to the bunker will be denied :)

Well this certainly is news, the ANZACs are pushed back down to the 6th place from wich they came. The European Alliance now conquers the number 4 spot in the Metverse Universe :)

Well, I've just registered my game and I should have broadband in a few weeks so I'll be able to upgrade and start submitting scores. Even if they are pitiful...

EDIT: Curious. The galactic map has the Euros in 5th place, but Top Emipres has Euros in 4th, with the two-man Empire of Orange Kitties biting at the heels of the Evil Empire...
