Will Downloading Mods affect Metaverse score?

Now *that* is a good question. I would think non official mods would null your score though, since you could create your own mod that maxes all your ships stats. LOL

Would be nice to know though, if user mods that have been approved by the team could be used. For instance, I would hate to think a mod that adds ship designs to your game would null your score as well.

And hopefully, I'll finish some of the 9 consecutive GalCiv games I have going right now, so I can start submitting scores. :notsure:

I don't plan on using anything un-official (I've tried that on other games and after having to re-install thousands of times due to balancing issues and not remembering what I did, hehe, it gets tiring) If it's official I don't think it should count against you, but that terraforming one could certainly be seen as some kind of advantage?

9 consecutive games? lol, I have a hard enough time staying focused on all that is going on in one game, let alone 9. Fleabit, I salute you.

That may not necessarily null your score, since the AI can build those exact same ships.

I think only the official game with its updates should count on the metaverse. You need some sort of standard to judge everyone with. Having person A play with mods for ships and abilities and then Person B just playing the regular game its not the same in some ways. But graphic mods should matter if you wanted your ships to look like star trek or something if thats possible.

I just finished a game using most of the mods in the Library, and it didn't null my score. I also learned its possible to win a Culture Victory while the galaxy is under the effects of a Xenophobic event.

bump, because I'm curious how the game differentiates between any unofficial mods that come out and cheats (if it does).
