Lost most of my points.

I wanted to change my handle. After a switched i played a couple of games that added up to about 30,000 mpts. this should have brought my total score to over 100,000 mpts. When i checked the metaverse it only showed my pts for the last two games. I switched back to my old handle and all the old games showed up in the popup screen but the total is still only 29,000 and change. i have about 40 games listed but it is only adding the last 2. This may sound confusing but if there is any way i can get back my 82,000 lost points so i can regain my rank in the top 180 i would very much appreciate it. I am a member of the canadian alliance.

Gargantuan, Do you have two player alias and two players registered under the Metaverse ?

BTW, you don't really need to change the registred metaverse player: I think you can specify which is the registred player for uploading the game. And I think it can be different from your leader name in the game.

And there isn't any automatic way to have a merge of different players associated with the same e-mail: you need to ask Stardock to do the merge and tell them what registred player should be kept.

handle is the same as alias. sorry for the confusion. i have only one alias and one registered player but changed the alias for both. I have since changed everything back to the original alias and the metaverse is showing all my earlier scores but is only counting the last 2 out of about 40. I hope this gives you a better understanding of my predicament. also i am very sorry about an earlier post about technician. I have since learned a lot of ways to trick the game. it seems like cheating to me but i guess that is what you have to do to get the high scores.

You go to wincustomize www.wincustomize.com. You should already be logged on but its the same logon as here. Go into personal information in "my account" area and amend Nickname.

Your games may be lost unless stardock can help.

Metaverse scoring is complex and is not pure addition - you group games into 30 day blocks going backwards from your last submission and divide each block by the square root of number of games in that block. Each block is then decreased by 5% per complete 30 days old. Finally the calculated scores for each block are added.
