Isn't 2178 the 22nd century or am I just an idiot???

Hmmm, maybe time travel is part of the game; of course I wouldn't know because the key codes are completely impossible to decipher how to use them!

These guys need to maybe use an "editor" and maybe they need to try and install there product once before they ship it to the stores; the installer won't accept the key codes on the back of the manual! What a laugh riot!

Actually, the key codes do work. They are case sensitive and the print used to print them does not distinguish between a "one" and small "ell" nor very well be zero and Oh.

Try it again. If you still have problems, contact help at stardock. They respond quickly most of the time.

Stardock had nothing to do with the box. Talk to Strategy First, they made the boxes, put the codes on the boxes, etc.

Strategy First switched the key codes on the case. The one with AP1 in it should go in the field for Altarian Prophecy and the one with GC1 in it should go in the Gal Civ field.

As for the 23rd century bit. That has been a known problem for the last two years.

It had been fixed in a few places in the documentation during the beta, but had not been fixed in all places in the docs. Documentation at this point in time is impossible to fix.

OK. I see where the correct century is updated in the current manual etc. I guess I was a little uptight yesterday because of the problems I was have with the key codes (which I realize now is strategy first's problem not these guys). Right now I'm updating my game and looking forward to learning how to play. I can see that this company really cares about there games... That's cool. Thanks.

That's okay.  One has to wonder why Strategy First didn't use the updated user manual too.
