A little confuse here , how come after reaserching the intersellar tactics , I don't have the option to research battleship tech ?

You also need the Warp Drive and Artificial Gravity Techs in addition to it.

You also need warp drive and artificial gravity. Have you seen this site: http://webpages.charter.net/trevorpowdrell/index.htm The tech tree is listed. Very useful.
