Should get the Expansion now ?

Just got the game ..should I purchase the Ap as well ? will it affect the game in any ways or just new things ?

Do I get discount ?

I am a big fan of the AP expansion pack myself.

I do not think you need to be in a hurry to upgrade, but I think it is wise purchase and Stardock has promised one AP upgrade before Christmas.


The AP expansion does require the base game but for some reason if you still want to play GC 1.22 you can.


If you do upgrade for $50 you can subscribe to totalgaming.net

You get the AP expansion
All the games on Totalgaming.net
Access to the forum at www.galciv2.com
Access to the GalCiv II Beta

I subcribe and think it is the best upgrade path from the base game.

I paid for the AP upgrade only (I think it cost $20) from the StarDock site. I think it was money well spent.

I think that AP is what makes Galciv the most entertainment value. It adds a lot of new things to the game and allows you to Mod the game in many different ways. If you enjoy galciv YOU MUST BUY the expansion.

Technician makes a good point (To bad he made silly accusations regarding NeoTech! LOL) your best move is to get a subscription to Totalgaming.net.

Not only will you get patches before the public you also get access to all the games they have in the downloads area. Currently there are something like 10 games included. The best reason to get a subscription is to get access to galciv2 when the beta is released! :CONGRAT:
