Feature Request: Disable Events

Hi,

I would like to be able to disable events (as an option) when playing on a tiny map. That wont solve the issues with high council events.. but it would be nice to play through a game without having it completely hosed by an event inappropriate for the map size.

Back when I played moo2 on a tiny map I would always disable antaren attacks since those would completely screw every tiny map scenario in that game too.

Which events do you think are undeserable on tiny?

I had another thread where I discussed it at length.. but the ones that have been a problem for me are:

1) The "evil planet" event that takes over a planet if you dont release it. This can be a real show stopper depending on which planet it is.

2) The event that buffs a civ and requires you to stomp another player immediately. Slower tech makes it very hard to prosecute a war of annihlation.

3) The uber-planet event.. given how few systems thre are on the map this one can really skew everything quickly. I find it just as distateful when I am buffed as when the comp players are. Its subtle, but I have found that if everyone has 4 planets, one guy having a QL 45+ planet can be a real problem.

In addition, there are two UP motions that can be a problem:

1) Zoo
2) Prison Planet

I wrote a pretty long thing explaining my position on events on tiny maps and some suggestions at the end of this thread

Basically.. I think the time when events come into the game should be based on production/tech level found throughout the galaxy rather then time.
