Rebellion in Gal Civ Altarian Prophecy

Hey everybody, i just got the Altarian Prophecy Expansion pack for Gal Civ, and during one of my games i ran into a problem. I have a star system that is close to and enemy star system, and now it hasa little skull on the corner because the people are rebelling against me. In the past when i encountered this problem i usually had to wait intil the colony joined their empire and then simply take it back by force. I want to try something different, however, and i just wanted some advice as to what i could do to stop the unrest. None of it really makes to much sense either considering that the planet's moral is at like 85% or something.

You can try..

- building an influence starbase in the sector
- colonize another star system in the sector
- destroy the other empire (he he...)
- build influence increasing/ cultural resist increasing improvements on the planet

I'm sure there are other things you can try too. Sometimes combatting influence with influence is tough, though. I would suggest using force to push back the other empire far away from your planet(s).

You can also pay for propaganda - go to the details on the planet page and you will see a slider in the middle where you can fund propaganda. This will help.

But, basically, you have to increase the influence in the sector through events (random) starbases with influence modules, etc.

One other thing, center your screen on the sector that your planet is in. Then at the top of your screen on the right side there are two small icons. Clicking on one of them will show how much influence each race is inflicting on your sector/planets.

And another thing, the skull is a sign that your planet is being influenced and may flip to the other side as you know. This skull will not go away from your planet ever even when your influence in that sector is larger than the other races.

I consider this a bug but Stardock does not.

A cheesy way to slow or stop the flip to another AI is to save your game every turn or two.

Your planet makes a saving throw at the start of every turn to see if it flips. So if it does flip just restore the game.

Unfortunately if the influence from another AI is quite a bit higer than yours you may not be able to prevent your planet from flipping to the other side.

The influence gets recalced about 2 turn after you restart a game so you are usally safe until then.
