Starbase Question

Well I finally hit the bookend in Starbases in my highly modded game. Is there anyway to go beyond the 139 mark? Will changing the bookend to a number than 140 work or do I just have to go back and eliminate the less enjoyable starbase mods?

There's only one way to find out: change the bookend to a number greater than 140 and see if it works.

Political parties are limited to 18, and have to be sequential. If there are any gaps, things break.

Starbase Mods: the limit is defined by the module number of the BOOKEND module, and once again again they have to be sequential in order. Gaps make the later moduless unbuildable. There is no known absolute maximum.

Improvements: no known limit, but after a certain point the array will start to overwrite other data. There are not currently enough improvements, even with all known mods considered, to cause this. I know it happens only because I had, at one time, a collection of files created by duplicating GCImps.IMP five times and changing some of the numbers.

Techs: no known limit, verified good to at least 13130 by myself. I do have a tech that seems to automatically research itself at the start of the game. I don't know if it's a flaw in the tech definition or somethign else, though.

Ships: no known limit.
