It just dawned on me that there is a minor race named after our beloved CariElf.

The Carianoids.

Don't know why it took me this long to put 2 and 2 together.

I'll ask Stardock again, maybe I'll get an answer. Does everyone there have something in the game named after them? The Wardell system, Carinoids, Lentzlandians, Kohd Kritter....

Well, I think the devs should leave their mark in that way.

They are open and honest 'easter eggs'.

I know I got that easter egg feeling when I noticed this one.

I think that there is a star system named Kryo that turns up from time to time. I may be wrong though.

I think its perfectly honest and good that the designers would put themselves in a small way like this into their work.

In SF fandom circles, there is a long and honorable tradition of "tuckerizing" friends and acquaintances into novels.

So why not video games, too?

Heck, Sid Meier does it with the Civilization games.
