Custom Campaign placement

I'm Making a custom campaign for my new mod "The Bringers of Light" (the 0.3.4 version is in the library or at My Site (my site always has the most recent version available) and i was wondering, do i have to actually place the campaign in the game's campaigns folder or can i put it into some sort of folder in my mod's directory?
