Problem with 0.95b update on SDC?

Anyone else having the update from 0.94 to 0.95b fail when using SDC? I keep getting an "Installation Failed (29)" message.

On further searching I see that CariElf said that there were some problems with the servers this morning, so that may be what is happening to me. I did try dowloading from US-1, per CariElf's suggestion, but no luck.

Thanks -- tried US2 but the update doesn't even show up on SDC when I go there. Will try on another machine and see what happens.

I am having the same problem. Tried to update the latest bets and I am getting access denied.

I seem to have SDC caught in a loop. The progress meter alternates between Downloading GC2TwilightOfTheArnor.exe_ and extracting GC2TwilightOfTheArnor.exe (without the underscore).

A couple of things flash by too quickly to observe in the middle of the loop, and when the Downloading phase is active, the %complete seems to be totaling all the loops. It is over 5700% now, so I think I should give up for the moment.

That happened to me, too, but when I ran SDC as an Administrator, it went away.

Hello everyone.

We have isolated the download problem with Twilight of Arnor on the US-2 server and have corrected the problem.  Please restart Stardock Central to make sure that it refreshs itself so it can see the 0.95[b].002 update.  If Stardock Central shows that version as available then you should be able to download the update with out any errors.

If you are still unable to see the 0.95[b].002 update then try forcing a refresh of Stardock Central's data files by going to Tools->Settings.  In the settings dialog select "Internet" from the left hand colum.  On the intenat page click on the "Refresh XML Data" button.  Once it has completed refreshing the data click OK and now you should be able to see the Twilight update.

Our apologies for the inconvenience.

Finally got it to update. Go to the Stardock Icon and click run as an Administrator and it will update.

Cheers, that was causing me some consternation...

That did it for me as well. Didn't notice that when I started SDC I didn't get the standard "This needs to run as an administrator" dialog since the latest update.

k, i am having issues, i just purchased pre ordered the game (ta), and it shows up in stardock, and i applied my serial number...

i get the install beside the entry in stardock, click on it, it downloads the file, extracts the file, but when intalling, it gets to 47% on file DXaxHost.dll (or something like that), then it loops back.

i tried everying mentioned in this thread, as well as switching between us1 and us2 server, but know luck...

now i am installing it, not just uprading..

thanks

Finally got mine to update, too. Needed to run as Administrator, which did the trick. Funny thing is at my home computer, I had no problem using the "normal" update process through SDC.

i am running vista home, i am the only user on the laptop, and i have admin rights...still not working...it just cycles through stopping at about 47% installation on
DXashost.dll or something...

thanks

Gblemings -- Are you talking about admin rights on the computer? The admin rights we are talking about is running SDC as Administrator (right click on initial start-up icon for SDC). I have Vista Office Permium and that did the trick.
