Question About Planetary Improvements

Is there someway to prevent your Capital planet from changing if you capture another race's planet that they've designated a capital planet? Whether it be economic or manufacturing or political. For instance, if Earth is my manufacturing capital and I capture Iconia's manufacturing capital, it seems that the last planet captured becomes the default new capital. Is there someway to avoid that? I've tried to destroy the new tile designated as "capital" whatever, but that's not an option...at least not an option I've found. Any help?

Maybe it would be appropriate for GCII to pop up a dialogue telling you that you now have a duplicate super project and you need to pick one to demolish.

If you have enough spies, check each planet before you invade. If it already has a capital that you don't want on it, try invading with Tidal Disruptors. It destroys up to 80% of existing buildings. Of course, it will probably destroy everything BUT the offending capital building (LOL).
