Is this a bug? because if it is, it's serious!

I was just playing TA, when suddenly the screen was a jumble. I'll run a virus scan, but has anyone else had this problem?

Was a jumble???

sounds like windows graphics drivers or the card (if unsupported) gave out. Update your drivers.

Sounds a lot more like an overheating video card than a virus. Did you have anything running minimized? Having VLC player running in the background messes up my GalCiv graphics.

I scanned, and no viruses. It WAS raining, it might have been a power surge.

I've had that issue, both in TA and in DA. I know my card has very little VRAM, so I've always figured that it was just my system overworking the video card.

Strangely enough, I've occasionally seen a temporary jumble on the screen immediately after starting or loading a game, but then nothing from then on. Since it doesn't impact anything, it doesn't seem to be much of an issue.

The only jumble I've seen is in the power graphs. I really need to remember to screen shot it.... It seems somewhat random, lasts a few turns, then fixes itself.

'Print Scr' is your friend.

Sometimes it can be a 'budget' issue.
If you run too low on funds, funding will be cut off. So the graph will show a drop-off for a turn or three.

Nope, not that. I've encountered that many times in GC2. No, this is new to TA. I'll be playing for a while and suddenly notice that my graphs have gone completely wonky. I'm yet to have time to play since I mentioned it... Holidays are sucking all my time.
Something like this: (EDIT: ASCII art didn't quite work, pretend the '.' marks are blank spaces.)

Basically, the beginning of the chart loses cohesion, but then the "current" part of the chart is stable and works fine. I might have a chance to play again in a few days... we'll see what happens then.

It could also be the video card overheating, depending on the nature of the wonkiness, of course....

Yes and mine looks like this:
. - +
1% 3

Except pretend the dot is an HP Inspiron laptop with an ATI600 mobile video card. The - and + are "wonky" and "jumbled" video. The 1% represents me looking very confused and the 3 is my cat who got into the shot by mistake.
