so how do I install the new expansion pack

So how does one install the new expansion pack? It shows up in my stardock central after installing the sdcentral setup but the game itself is never installed. it's registered so that's not it.

Select it in SDC and click the Install button next to it. It can't install itself, after all :)

(Be sure you have the 'show prerelease versions' option checked at the bottom of SDC)

OK, I didn't realize I had to click on the game before the install button appears. All is well, thanks

Note to developers: this is NOT intuitive. How is one supposed to figure this out, other than trial and error?, having the install button appear for all items ready to install would be much easier on us.

Sorry to disagree DrugoDavidson, but I found that part completely intuative, the bit that got me was that an old version of the ToA beta that doesn't download properly is shown if you don't have pre-release ticked, took me a while to realise why the download wasn't working.

Yeah, there's a completely new, more user-friendly version of SDC coming out sometime in the next couple of months.

Not intuitive? Seriously? Perhaps I've been using computers a lot longer than I realize then, because it's second nature to select something in order to do something with it. Especially given the layout of the screen, select something and see the details in the details pane. Oh lookie here, an Install button shows up. Works just like "My Computer" or "Windows Explorer", (without the install button tho...)

The only thing I ever really missed was the SHow PreRelease checkbox, but other than that, it was completely intuitive. As I said, operates just like any other user interface elements with multiple panes, specifically a detail pane...
