Missing Serial Key (GalCiv2, Dread Lords)

I recieved a copy of GalCiv 2 dread lords 15months ago and ended up having to uninstall it about 13months ago. (Partly for difficulty, partly due to the amount of college work I was busy with). Now I was looking to reinstall it and I can't find the cd-key. This computer underwent an operating system reload about 3months ago so I know I won't find it in the registry and I very much doubt it's stored in the "C:\Documents and Settings\HP_Administrator\My Documents\My Games\GalCiv2" folder. Is there any other place I should look for the key?

Perhaps at the top of this screen click on "My Account" and then go over to the "Registrations" tab.

Yes, if you registered the game when you got it, then we'll have it recorded on your account where you can easily retrieve it. If not though, you'd need to find the jewel case/box from the game.

Do note though that the serial is not required in install the game, only to update it.

Well, thx for the info. Apparently I got the patch last time without registering somehow? It's not listed. I'll look around one more time for the jewel case I guess but unfortunatly I had to move (living on campus) and I left the case at home. I'm the only person in my family that actually retains boxes/cases so I am fairly certain they tossed it in the trash :P.

You may have *gotten* the patch from a third party site when we had standalone downloads available, but you'd still have needed the game registered to activate it after patching. If it's not on this account, you may also have registered it on another email address. In that case, you can try entering any addresses you might have used in teh serial recovery box at http://support.stardock.com. Any serials linked with the email you enter will be sent to that address.
